Reporting an error

Every page of this website is open to correction, and the corrections log records each one in public. A report is most useful when it gives:

  • the address of the page and the sentence in question;
  • what you believe is wrong, and the source that shows it (chapter and verse, manuscript, or a scholarly work with a page number);
  • if the point is one of reading rather than fact, the alternative reading and who holds it.

A report that turns out to be right is corrected on the page and logged with the date, what the page said and what it now says. A report that is not accepted receives a reply saying why.

Proposing a source or a reading

The source library lists the works the website relies on. Suggestions of works that bear on a page, from any side of the question, are welcome, and so are Christian replies to the arguments made here; the strongest of them are set out and answered on Objections and replies and Responses to named articles, and that is where a well-made reply will end up.

Reuse and sharing

Pages may be quoted with credit and a link, and every page carries share links under its text; see the terms of use for republication. Questions about the Qur’anic text, the translation used, or the credits for the gospel are answered on the credits page.
